Side Effects From Eating Dried Apricots

The Sonnets - Western Harbour Blue

It is indeed not uncommon that I imagine is still a few records from last year. The year 2010 seems to be really inexhaustible. And among the many new publications, one can not simply keep up. Especially not when one puts his focus on quality. And so sometimes it may be that it takes almost five months until a certain album or a particular band know only learns. Since I have not written date on the flag, I can put you with a long delay the debut of the Swedish band The Sonnets to the sunny heart.

For the fun-making music is full of it just to spread warmth and joy. Reminiscent of the famous Eiswerbung on a summer island, there are often marvel at the cinema. The cover is not chosen by chance. Finally come across a band from Malmö, which has delivered a solid album.

While listening you will feel easy in the 80 back. But not in this colorful pop scene for which you are well and happy times foreign ashamed. No, more like in The Jam. The quartet dominated the administration to refine these former modern Sound and beyond to sound more authentic. Not an easy task.

The absence of synths is the decisive point. For winds and strings were used. Otherwise the illusion would be destroyed.

appeared earlier this month the new single Everybody's On A High with a remix by Hemingway. On the cover of palm trees are photographed. You know, modest. Summer sound for the living room.

Western Harbour Blue appeared on 1 October 2010 on Despotz Records.
